The MPG Awards 2013 (the "Awards") are administered by Ballistic Events Limited (the "Promoter").

  1. Nominations for the Awards are open to music producers, audio engineers, music production companies, agencies, record companies, music artists, managers and other professionals working in the music business who are aged 16 or over. There are no geographical restrictions on who may nominate. Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of nominators and check their identity in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  2. Nominators may nominate one or more individuals, songs, albums and studios in the relevant Award category ("Category"), but there are certain limitations (please see individual Categories for details). Nominators will not be charged for any nomination made into any Category.
  3. In the case of Awards for individuals, the music projects for which you are nominating them must have been made commercially available between 31st July 2011 and 1 August 2012.
  4. Nominations must be made by completing the forms on the Awards website (www.mpgawards.com) before 11.59pm (UK time) on 12 October 2012.
  5. Nominations to the Awards will only be accepted when the nominator clicks 'Submit' at the end of the nominations form on the Awards website. Any incomplete nominations received at 11.59pm (UK time) on 12 October 2012 will be considered complete at that point. The winner of the UK Album of the Year and UK Song of the Year Categories will receive a maximum of 3 (three) trophies. The winner of every other Category will receive a single trophy. Further trophies may be purchased at cost price by eligible winners only.
  6. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay the completion of nominations. Nominations which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions, will be disqualified and will not be counted.
  7. Each nomination submitted will be viewed by the Full Members of the Music Producers Guild in the first round of judging. The Full Members will be asked to vote for a top two in each Category they judge. These votes will be collated and up to 3 nominations per Category will be put forward to the second round of judging. In the second round, expert panels of selected judges will gather to discuss the shortlists, and select a winner. Promoter reserves the right to change the format of the judging provided always that judging is done in a rigorous and fair manner. Any such changes to the format of the judging will be posted on the Awards website.
  8. Winning nominations will be those which, in the opinion and sole discretion of the panel of judges, demonstrate the requisite production values, creative production contribution and technical skill in line with the Category requirements.
  9. The judges' and Promoter's decisions shall be final and binding in all respects on all nominations. No correspondence will be entered into.
  10. Winners will be announced and receive their trophy at the Awards ceremony which is due to take place at the Café de Paris, London on 13 February 2013 (the "Ceremony"). There will be no prior disclosure. Winners not present at the Ceremony will at the request of each such winner have their trophy dispatched by post within 14 days of the Ceremony, provided that the winner has provided a postal address. A list of prize winners (name only) will be posted on the Awards website for a minimum of one month.
  11. Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from its negligence, or in respect of fraud, and so far as is permitted by law, the Promoter and its associated companies and agents exclude responsibility and all liabilities arising from:
    1. any postponement or cancellation of the Awards;
    2. any changes to, supply of (including, without limitation, prizes which do not reach the intended recipient), or use of the prize;
    3. any error or omission by the Promoter; and
    4. any act or default of any third party supplier, which are beyond the Promoter's reasonable control.
  12. The Promoter will use each winner's, and each nominator's, personal details for the purpose of administering this Awards. Please see our Privacy Policy for further details.
  13. The Promoter may also use the details you give us to contact you about MPG-related products and services. By nominating in this Awards you are indicating your agreement to this unless you tell us otherwise.
  14. The Awards, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. You irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with the Awards.
  15. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any point.
